April 15, 2026 (Tehachapi, CA) On May 15th, 2025, David Gilliam, Elder and Agent of Service for Shepherd of the Hills Church, was served a small claims lawsuit by the Sheriff’s Deputy, regarding the Church’s unpaid reimbursements of over $5,000+ that are owed to me.
(Dave Gilliam’s address, as highlighted in the proof of service, is publicly listed as the Agent of Service for Shepherd of the Hills, Inc. in California.)
So what did David Gilliam do after receiving this?
16 days later after being served by the Police, on May 31st, 2025, I was informed that Dave Gilliam tried to socially engineer his was into illegally accessing the unpaid website domain, which I had been covering the costs for the past two years.
Evidence is attached in the images above.
First, an email conversation with “IONOS” (domain provider), on May 31st, confirming to me that an individual named “Dave Gilliam” called them and lied by falsifying details in an attempt to access my account, but due to the security protocols, he was denied.
Second, a follow-up email from “IONOS” continuing to notify me that my account remained secure from David Gilliam’s attempt at illegally breaking into the unpaid Domain. Finally, IONOS confirms that they are willing to assist further if need be regarding the attempted breach against my account.
What is “social engineering”?
For those wondering: What is social engineering?
It is a lie where the individual assumes the identity of an account owner and tries to gain access to something that isn’t rightfully or legally theirs.
As shown in the email from the web host company, this is exactly what Dave Gilliam did.
That is fraud.
What Dave Gilliam attempted is a punishable criminal offense and could possibly be pursued and prosecuted as FRAUD under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).
In fact, the type of social engineering which Dave Gilliam attempted is often investigated and charged as Wire Fraud under 18 U.S. Code § 1343.
“Anyone who continues to live in Him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who he is. Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning.” – 1 John 3:6-8 (NLT)
