The $20 Million Lie That Destroyed Everything

June 02, 2026 (Tehachapi, CA) If you’re wondering what caused the bubble to burst that led to all of this, what would you guess?

If you guessed “money,” you guessed correctly.

For the past 18+ months, Jeff Kaplan has been going around Shepherd of the Hills, sharing with the elders, worship team, volunteers, family, and anyone else who will listen to his insanity, that I stole or lost his money, and not only that, but that I am somehow sitting on over $20 million of stolen money.

The moment you ask Jeff to prove any of this is when you witness his house of cards instantly collapse.

So once again, I am going to share the truth. And once again, I come prepared with actual receipts to counteract Jeff Kaplan’s lack of proof. He operates as a professional liar.

The REAL Story

👉 In 2021, I accidentally became a small but influential person in the crypto/Web3 world. What started as just a hobby unexpectedly took off. Link below to my old YouTube channel:

As a result, my dad, mom, and brother all left their full-time jobs. This caught Jeff Kaplan’s attention.

I strongly urged Jeff that he needed to learn what crypto is and how it works before putting a single dollar in, and to never invest more than he could afford to lose, because it is risky.

He ignored both suggestions. Instead, he emptied his family’s entire retirement and put it all into crypto.

Over the course of this time, I asked Jeff, and even strongly suggested, multiple times to take his profits.

At one point, I had Jeff making over $8,000 – $10,000 PER DAY and $240,000 – $300,000+ PER MONTH.

This still was not enough to satisfy Jeff’s greed. Despite at one point being up over 10,100% when a token went from $8 to $810 (that is not a typo), each and every time he consulted Zenita, his wife, and refused to take any profits. Instead, he wanted to “roll it back in”, exhibiting typical gambling behavior.

Of course, he eventually lost it all.

Later, he was contacted online by hate groups. He joined and assisted those hate groups in spreading false accusations, slander, and lies about me. His smear campaign continues to this day. (see previous post)

All because Jeff Kaplan is disqualified as a Pastor due to his love of money, greed, and gambling habits (in violation of 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and others). He knows this. And instead of taking Biblical accountability, he chose to create a central enemy out of an innocent person by joining forces with the devil.

What does SOTH’s Bylaws and Doctrinal Statement Say about Gambling?

Let’s take another look at Shepherd of the Hills’ own Bylaws and Doctrinal Statement and line it up next to Jeff Kaplan’s gambling to see if he violates any parts.

Jeff Kaplan has no spiritual, or otherwise, capacity to accept responsibility for anything he does wrong, despite the obvious ongoing proof. It will always be someone elses fault.

Urgent Warning Moving Forward

Now, consider this story the next time Jeff pretends to preach on topics such as financial legacy, Biblical money management, and tithing.

Consider this story the next time you donate to SOTH, knowing that a proven gambler who cannot manage his own family’s finances now has the final say on how all church finances and money are handled.

Consider that I cannot say anything on this page that is not 100% true and which cannot be proven legally beyond a shadow of a doubt. The truth, backed by tangible proof, is what makes saying it so easy, yet so simple.

The truth is not complicated. Lies are.
